Outback Steakhouse

Ordered rare steak Aussie 3 option with a house salad. Steak was rare as I asked, but had a hard black top that was an uncomfortable texture… and had a LOT of pepper on it with barely any other flavor other than incredibly unwanted spice. Baked potato was small, but a good size for if you want to eat healthy portions. No complaints on potato. House salad was full of hard blocks of end lettuce and hardly any green leaves- as well as they either gave me the wrong dressing or their house dressing is unnecessarily spicy. After a few bites my throat burned and even my mother did not enjoy the salad. We ended up not getting the unfinished salad to-go because it was not yummy. Service was amazing, our waitress; Justice, was absolutely amazing. She was the best part about dinner and she refilled my tea when needed. She really needs a raise as she made our table feel welcome even despite the unfortunate food. The sweet tea is to DIE for!! Now it’s not as sweet as I’m used to, but whatever sweetener they use is just really good- very satisfied with the tea! The atmosphere was nice and calm, pretty quiet for a dinner… I enjoyed that. Someone had a birthday and I joined in the singing too! It was nice. Despite everything, the food was a total bummer while the people and the atmosphere was really nice. If I were to come here again, it would be for the people, not the food.
