Cool little beach bar with good views of the beach. The ambience is nice. The high chairs and comfy to chill on. Service to get a drink at the bar is slow because there is only one bartender doing the job of two. Prices are a bit steep and the quality of the cups needs to be improved

Always wonderful and friendly service, great cocktails and seafood. Their ceviche, oysters, and shrimp are some favorites. Family loves to enjoy the beach from here. Saturday nights with live music and summer days packed with tourists are much fun.

We have stayed at this property many times over the years and have always chosen it because they were previously accommodating to our needs. My husband suffered a stroke and is unable to safely climb stairs, so we have always requested a ground-floor room, which has never been an issue in the past. When I called to renew our stay and request a ground-floor room. I explained our situation and asked if I could select a ground-floor room as we have done many times before. I was told that room assignments would be made at check-in. As I attempted to explain why this accommodation is medically necessary, the man on the phone became extremely rude, repeatedly saying “good-bye” over me and then hanging up. This experience was not only upsetting but completely unprofessional. After I shared this experience on the South Padre Island Concierge Facebook page, the response from the property stated that the call was answered by a third-party booking service. That explanation is simply not accurate. We stay here frequently and are very familiar with how calls are handled. There are typically two female front desk staff members who answer the phones, along with a male manager. Based on my experience and familiarity with the property, I am confident the call was not handled by a third party, and there appears to be no accountability being taken for the behavior I experienced. What is most disappointing is not just the lack of accommodation, but the lack of empathy, professionalism, and honesty in how this situation was handled. Guests with mobility and medical needs should never be dismissed or treated with disrespect. Sadly, due to this experience, we will be looking for a new place to stay, despite having been loyal, repeat guests who live nearby and visit often.
