All my life living in Brownsville (34 years) and this is my first time here! Flavorful fajita, soft and good portion on my Tampiqueña plate…all the were good. Only thing is the tortillas, if you don’t eat the tortilla fast, it gets hard quick. (Maybe just mine that day) I didn’t mind at all I just left it. My husband got the Nachos, he enjoyed his meal as well.

Stopped by the Vermillion for lunch with three other friends. This restaurant was highly recommended by one of the gals with me. This family owned establisment, has been in business, I believe since the 1930's. It was hard to find a parking spot, but it was during lunch hour. As we walked in for lunch, we were greeted by a very nice gentleman who has been with this business for 40 + years! Such a welcoming fella! Three of us ordered the fried shrimp platter with onion rings with a side salad. The shrimp were large butterflied shrimp which was very good. One gal ordered ceviche, which she totally enjoyed! All in all, between the great service and our food choices, I give the Vermillion Restaurant a 5 star rating.

Well, first, my bad for not taking photos, but each of the 3 times I went, the food looked so good that I just jumped in head first. The last 2 times I had the Pancho Villa with a hand order of guac. Though I would not be able to eat the entire dish I still get it because of the option to add beef to the cheese enchiladas, to have refried beans over charro, rice 2 corn tortilla & beef tacos and some tasty crispy chips. The service is great and don’t overlook the other half of the restaurant that has bar and several televisions. The service is impeccable and friendly. The food is good to look at and even better tasting.
