My boyfriend and I travel across the US for work, we are away from home probably 80% of the time. We have been to hundreds of restaurants. This was our first visit to Lazy Dog, and it was the best restaurant experience we have had in years. Our server Lexi was very welcoming and attentive. When we informed her that we had not been here before, the manager Greg came over with chips on the house, and answered our many questions about the menu. While debating between steaks, he recommended the chuckwagon flat iron. I was a little apprehensive as it mentioned a coffee + cocoa rub which I assumed would be pretty polarizing. Greg was very confident I would enjoy it, even offering to comp the meal if I did not! I was very pleasantly surprised. The steak was delicious, perfectly cooked, and the chili butter on top was spectacular. The mashed potatoes (with burgundy wine sauce) were probably the best I have ever had. My boyfriend ordered the ginger soy salmon which was done perfectly, flaky and moist. We also started with the french onion pastry puffs which were very tasty. Overall everything was so flavorful. The restaurant was very clean and the service was amazing. I rarely leave reviews on anything but we had an incredible experience.
Visited Lazy Dog for a late lunch/Early Dinner recently. 1st ever visit here. I was debating between Lazy Dog and Portillos other restaurants across the strip on the side of the 75. FOOD! sounded good after we left Specs next door. So we literally parked right in between Specs and Lazy Dog by accident not knowing I was about to get my taste buds blown away! The menu has a wide variety of good looking food and the one that caught my eye was the Korean Ribeye Bibimbap. I would have never thought I would find Korean Restaurant quality food at Lazy Dog! BLEW ME AWAY!!! It was so good! The meat was perfectly cooked, the steamed rice was textured to PERFECTION. The pickled veggies and the sunny side up egg was PERFECT! I also had an Apple Huckleberry desert!!! OMG! I would have never thought I would be having some GREAT KOREAN FOOD AND AMERICAN PIE IN THE SAME PLACE! April our server recommended the desert and she kept our drinks filled and was very sweet and polite and very attentive!!!. Couldn’t be happier with the overall experience here!!. Not sure if my coworkers know about this hidden gem but I will recommend it to ANYONE driving by the 75. I’m also glad to see Lazy Dog has online ordering service as well if you are ever on the go! Always good to know for those who want a good meal to go. But I’m old fashioned. I love to sit down have great service (THANK YOU APRIL!) and the best overall food experience I’ve had in a while! Thank you Chefs! Will definitely be back here to explore the menu or I may order the Korean Ribeye again! lol decisions decisions. “Hook 'em Horns" 🤘
We went for the Valentine’s special and sat outdoors so we could be with our dog, which was a nice option. The food was good overall, but the steak temperatures were not followed accurately—medium and medium-well were both off. The Valentine’s special was only about $6 less than the regular price, which was ok but noting too special. And the service was not the best. Two tables that were seated after us were served before we were, and we were not attended to until we asked.
It was our first time going to Lazy Dog and it was the absolute best!! Our gorgeous talented server Clorisa took care of us in the best way possible, she checked on us often and made sure our dining experience was comfortable. She deserves a raise to be honest. The food was great and the restaurant looked squeaky clean. We ended our experience with the brownie dessert in which she put a pink candle considering our dressing theme. We will always remember the amazing Clorisa and we will definitely come back for her in the future. XOXO 💋
